An exciting opportunity has opened for Nurses to come and join The Health Assessment Advisory Service conducting assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions. If you are looking for a new challenge, an opportunity to have a great work life balance, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:

You will conduct medical assessments and examinations and produce reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) as part of a successful integrated team. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team in your local assessment centre, you will be supported by likeminded Healthcare Professionals and be part of that team.

Training/Experience

NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of two years broad based clinical post registration experience. You will need to have experience working with adults in a range of clinical situations, the role would suit an individual who can demonstrate recent experience working in the following environments Surgical, Medical wards, A & E, District Nursing or Practice Nursing.

Skills:

You will also need to be IT literate with experience of using a range of software. Good oral and written communications skills. The ability to successfully negotiate and respond to rapidly changing work environment, the ability to influence and negotiate successfully with a range of people by adopting a flexible approach to work. You will be expected to commit to 18 days training, classroom, assessment centre training within the region and E-learning.
